JUDGEMENTS

Picture taken by my cousin Biak Props

Judgement you pass by my looks,
without knowing the person I really am,
nor any effort of doing so.
My choices you questioned
with no intention to learn the reason
or the motive behind.
You put a tag in me,
said I’m heartless and cold;
yet you don’t even know me that well.
We aren’t the same,
we each have a setback of our own,
a reason that made us the way we are,
I never judged you of yours
why do you question me of mine?
With no clue of the truth,
you come around blaming me
for things I let go to keep my moral intact.
Go ahead,
make judgements to your hearts content;
it affects me no more
as my life is mine to live
not to your accordance.

We live in a society where every one has something to say about someone else’s life pointing out everything they do wrong while forgetting to look at the reflection of their own, as long as you let what society thinks bother you, you my friend will find no peace in life and live a depressing life. Take charge of your own life and live it as you desire, be the master of your tune and that will lead you to a positive change in life, one step closer towards your goals. This poem is about how I no longer let it effect me and I hope you find it in you to do the same. ❀️

  1. It’s really saddening fact of the society! People judges us by our clothes, body shape, scars, skin tones without actually knowing us from the core! I have passed these situations so I know…

Thanks dear Daphny for being a voice of the unheard ones

  2. Judgements.. if only people would start looking what is beneath the skin, race, ethnicity etc. the world would be a happier place!
Until that time, as you wrote so well, we need to stop caring about the judgement and do and be what our true essence is all about.
Thank you for the inspiration! 😊

    1. Exactly, if only people start looking what’s beneath this world would have been such a better place.
If and only when we stop letting it effect us we can grow as a person, it was a great pleasure of mine to write this and share it with all.

      1. So very true! We need to start focusing on what matters to us and not that which matters to others. After all, its the life we’re living and we are the ones making the choices!
It has been a pleasure πŸ˜‡ super writing.

  4. Such a powerful and poignant write filled with such insight and reflections Daphny!
When we judge others, we are really judging ourselves and need to work on our own issues.

  5. A judgmental attitude is truly the bane of humanity, and its effects can last a lifetime. I’m still dealing with self-esteem issues from decades ago because of judgmental people in my past. Yet we all do it, to some extent. I love that you’ve spoken out about this and have shared your perspective and have found a way to free yourself from those who have judged you. This is important stuff. We all share so much more in common, as humans, that what separates us. I wish we as a species could finally understand this and start seeing each other through eyes of love rather than judgment and condemnation. Your precious gift continues to shine, Daphny.
There’s a beautiful heart in that beautiful person in the photograph. πŸ™‚

    1. I hope you can free yourself from it in time as well, I’ve taken a good time myself infact every once a while I still deal with it then I tell myself why do I let it bother me they don’t even have a single clue about my life then I take control and let go of the negativity. I really wish our species will finally understand but we seem to be always a bit too late. Thank you so much Mike, your kind words are a constant inspiration to me. Keep on shinning brightly my friend πŸ™‚βœ¨

  6. You’re absolutely right about judgements here, my friend. Some people are just so pesky and petty with other people’s lives you I wonder what they gain from it. They look at people and make negative statements from face value. They deserve no chance in our lives and we must never allow their thoughts to hurt us. I’m glad you don’t feel bothered by their negativity as so I have chosen to too.

    1. I agree with you completely, I sometimes wonder if they ever take a good look at themselves before they start passing out judgements to others. I am glad you’ve chosen to ignore them as I did, even a single second of our time is too precious to waste in on them. πŸ™‚πŸ’ž

      1. Yes we definitely shouldn’t, that is one good remedy I should say haha… Usually when they start to judge me I just tell them more of my flaws and laugh along that seem to shut them up a lot 🀣
