A GLIMPSE OF HOPE

I look far beyond the horizon,
amidst the darkest clouds,
there I saw a ray of hope
a light through the thickest storm;
a rainbow of promise for a better day.
I ran along chasing it,
half way there I realized I wasn’t alone,
the world was there by my side
wanting that glimpse as much as I did.
We ran along as fast as we could
like our life depends on it,
we ran through every obstacle on the way,
by hook or by crook we had to get there
though it still looked out of our reach,
we almost gave up as it seemed too far away.
Then that ray flashed before our eyes,
showing us what a fool we were,
reminding us we are in it together;
we held each other’s hand,
the real journey started there,
‘One goal, one destination’
that was our motto,
we ran like never before,
to get a glimpse of hope though the darkest storms,
peace in this world once and for all.

The world mourns along as war still takes on, many innocent souls are lost due to the greediness of some but through it all we are in it together, lets all pray for a better world filled with peace and hopefully that glimpse of hope is somewhere there among the clouds. ❤️

Happy readings 🙃

  3. Your poem speaks of a ray of hope. Well, I think you and your poetry are a ray of hope. It’s such a beautiful message, one from the heart, and one I think most people yearn for desperately. We all want peace, safety, love and happiness, and we all want friendship and unity and solidarity. It’s difficult to believe those things can be achieved in today’s world, but poetry like this is truly like that god-beam breaking through the clouds and lighting everything up so brilliantly. This is so wonderfully expressed and so sincere. More voices like yours, Daphny\, can change the world. I really love this one. Well done! 🙂

  4. Hope. Yes, we believe in it so we see it. And we’re coming into the realization collectively. What a wonderful homage to hope, dear Daphny. Thanks for sharing your lovely words. Blessings. Always.

  5. Explicitly expressed. I agree to this great course, dear. We have one final destination. We need one another and ought to stick together in an endeavor to make this world a better place for all. No need to fight, no need for wrangling The fact that we’re all humans makes us relatives, and that should indeed be of value to us. ❤❤👏❤❤
