Hi there! I hope you all are well, this year has been a roller coaster but we all will get through together. Today I wanted to dedicate my poem to the most amazing man I ever knew “My Grandpa”, it is his 14th death anniversary to day and the best to remember him by is the prayers he prayed for me, it is what gives me strength to go on in life. ❤️
Happy reading! 🙃
I remember the prayers
my grandpa prayed for me
since I was little girl,
I remember them all so vividly;
he prayed no harm comes my way,
prayed for my health,
for my future ahead.
He prayed I don’t starve,
prayed I live a comfortable life,
a stable and secured life
filled with joy and happiness.
He prayed I can be a blessing to all,
prayed I never stray from the Lord
and remain a child of God till the very end.
I still recollect him putting his hand in my head,
asking me to kneel down as he started to pray.
Now years have passed since he last prayed for me,
leaving us for Heaven abode;
but every time I kneel down to pray,
I can sense his presence near me,
feel his hands on my head,
letting me know he is there looking out for me.
As I get older,
his prayers help me overcome life’s hurdle;
made me achieve dreams, I dreamt of;
I am who I am today
cos I was blessed with “My Grandpa’s Prayer”.
