I have written you a letter;

a letter of joy and love,

of sorrow and pain as well;

for life isn’t only sunshine and rainbows

but also a mixture of thunder and storms.

In it I captured the beauty of this world,

painted the skies like the rose of Sharon,

for all the wonderful things you received,

the friends you made, the family you have;

I added a touch of grey

for the struggles, the tears and heartbreaks;

a color for that time you cried and almost gave up,

times you thought you weren’t good enough.

I painted this letter

with every shade of happiness and sorrows,

for that is the truth of life.

Through it I want you to know,

in your hard times

though I can’t promise you great outcomes

I will be there giving you the strength you need,

to rise above,

to try till you reach your goals,

to give it your best,

no matter the result.

I will end this letter with one final touch;

a color of hope and faith,

I wish you well.

As I read, each word and each line, I felt encouraged and strengthened. What a marvelous piece, cascading down our hearts like a stream of blessings from above. Comforting and reassuring. Amazing in it’s entirety and much-needed at such a time when hearts are stricken with grief. 🙏🌺❤🌺🙏
