Dear me,
why do you keep turning back
to the demons who stole your soul?
Why do you still let it win?
Don’t you know how far you’ve come?
How strong you are?
Why are you still stuck at that same place?
Years have passed,
days have changed,
even every second is not the same,
what are you holding on to?
I know β€˜Letting Go’ is not easy,
but don’t you think it’s time?
Why do you keep your life at stake,
at what cost?
Let go for your sake,
be at peace with life,
let the scar of the past be gone forever.
Be happy my dear,
never doubt yourself even for a second,
you deserve much more than this world has to offer.

We often write poems to dedicate to our loved ones to show how much they mean to us but we ourselves also deserve a poem to remind us that we matter and that everything will be alright. So I thought I’d go ahead and write one for myself, you can do it as well. Go ahead if you haven’t done it write yourself a poem, you deserve every bit of it. πŸ’–

  1. Self-compassion and letting go…so crucial if we ever hope to find happiness and contentment. This is a beautiful poem, Daphny. And you’re right–we all deserve a poem for ourselves, even if we have to write it. πŸ™‚
