DEAR DAD

This is a repost from one of my oldest and second blog post “Father Day Special”, it is dedicated to my dad. 💖

DEAR DAD, I long for your presence everyday;
I wish you hadn’t left so early.
Mother tells me great things about you,
Of the wonderful person you were
and the imprints you left behind are proof.
They say dads are the first heroes of their daughters
and I wish you could have been mine.
Grandpa was there to fill the void
and he did the best he could,
but my heart still longed for you.
People say you can’t miss someone you haven’t met
but I’ve missed you all my life;
and I’d give anything to see you even just for a day.
