THE CABIN IN THE WOODS

Behind the trees,
up in the hills,
beside the deep untamed river,
stood a cabin in the woods,
surrounded by the echoes of chirping birds.
It was a beauty to look at,
crafted to perfection.
I admire from afar
but dared not to go in.
Why you ask?
Myth has it that some souls still wander there.
Tales from long ago says
a group of friends took each other’s life;
the truth and reason why, no one knows.
All I know is that
a strange force stops one from entering there,
an unexplainable force that’s chilling to the bones.
But the truth of the cabin
and the veracity of its untold secrets
will forever remain a mystery.

#This poem was originally suppose to be a warm and cozy one, the kind where you’re suppose to feel like home but as I start writing it I don’t know how but made a complete turn around the middle 😅😁

  1. You’re doing amazing work, Daphny. It couldn’t happen to a better person.
This story reads like truth at the end. Is it real?
Even if it isn’t I adore it. Thanks so much for sharing it. Keep going my sweets. Keep shattering ceilings. You Go, girl. xoxo

No it’s not real, it is inspired by a cabin I saw in one of my friends photo 😁
#This poem was suppose to be a warm and cozy one but while writing it I changed the plot in the middle 😅
So glad you liked it 🙂❤

      1. That means a lot 😊
Umm.. Okay this is kinda embarrassing but my sense of humour isn’t that good and I have a hard time understanding things so if you don’t mind can you elaborate it please 😌

      2. No worries, I’m the same way, not much os a sense of humor and I usually don’t get jokes. People think I”m way too serious. I was just stating that the images along with the poem are beautiful. I’ve been working so much I just need to get away to some where quiet and peaceful to relax.
