Fathers Day Special

This blog is dedicated to my Grandpa and my Dad, the two most important man in my life. My grandpa who’s my best friend and an amazing grandfather, and my dad whom I know is a great man but wished I knew him personally. Happy Fathers Day! ❤️

Grandpa and Dad

Dearest grandpa! Words cannot begin to describe
how precious you are to me.
Even though you’re gone now,
you are still in our hearts.
You were a friend and a father to me,
my hero, the one I always look up to.
Early on in my life you showed me the right path,
molded me to be who I am today.
I still remember,
how you brighten up my days
with your silly jokes.
The memories of you will never be forgotten;
I miss you, is all I can say.

DEAR DAD, I long for your presence everyday;
I wish you hadn’t left so early.
Mother tells me great things about you,
of the wonderful person you were
and the imprints you left behind are proof.
They say dads are the first heroes of their daughters,
I wish you could have been mine.
Grandpa was there to fill the void,
he did the best he could
but my heart still longed for you.
People say you can’t miss someone you haven’t met,
yet I’ve missed you all my life;
I’d give anything to see you even just for a day.

  1. These poem is great I can sense the honesty, the innocence, love, gratitude, and the longing to see your love ones again where you’d possibly give anything just to see them once more. Great work it’s pure, anyway I believe you got the potential to do better in days to come,l. I wish if you could be a little bit more diverse in your vocabulary and use some metaphorical lines and use poetic theory where two words can ryhmes or like two lines can ryhmes it will make your poem more stronger. But honestly I love it. Eagerly waiting for your next work.

  2. Mmm… quite touching, paints a staid mood 😥😥. I can only imagine how painful it’s been for you living in their absence. May their souls rest in peace. Take up the courage you now posses dear, and fill thier void by being a silver lining in someone’s cloud too. I know you have and I know you still can. You’re a strong lady. Keep writing, keep spreading happiness and love, dear. ❤❤💖💖💕
